I have known Adee since elementary school, so when she reached out to me asking if I could be their engagement and wedding photographer, I was so honored and excited because they are one FUN couple!!
They are total water people and decided to do their engagement photos on their boat in the Dana Point Harbor. I absolutely loved this idea because 1) the harbor is a special place to me too 2) I love spending my weekends out on the boat 3) They were bringing their adorable dogs 4) I knew we could make some magic and get some photos that are not only unique but extra meaningful to them as well!
Adee and John met at Taco Surf (a bomb mexican restaurant in Dana Point) while she was working. They dated for several years and he proposed to her last year during a trip to Lake Mohave. They were swimming in the lake when Adee "found" a clam shell and thought to herself how weird it was because there shouldn't be any crustaceans in the lake. John opened it and there was a beautiful solitaire diamond ring inside! She immediately burst into tears and said YES to the love of her life!
Not only are these pictures special because of their love for the ocean and boating, but their boat is named after Adee's Mom, Sandy Guest, who sadly passed away a few years ago. This was one of the main reasons that they wanted to do their pictures on the boat, and it was so sweet and a great way to pay tribute.
I can't spill any of the details about their wedding, but I can tell you that it is going to be a PARRRRTTTTY filled with unique and awesome touches and I CAN NOT WAIT!!! Their big day is about 3 weeks away so be on the lookout for another blog post!
