{Ashley + Adam} Wrightsville Beach Engagement

Sometimes the stars alight jusssst right and you get the most amazing clients is the most beautiful location! I spend a majority of my time in sunny Southern California, but I also have a soft spot for Wilmington, North Carolina (I lived there for 3 years) and offer photography out there as well! Ashley and Adam found me through facebook and saw that I was going to be out in NC riiiight when they needed engagement photos. Naturally, I stalked them via social media and saw how beautiful they were and got super excited! Then when they told me that they wanted to do both a nautical theme AND a romantic and adventurous beach shoot I freaked out even more!

These two met in the third grade on the school bus (how cute is that!?) and then ended up going to different middle and high schools. They were reconnected at a friend's wedding in 2014 and started dating shortly after!

Ashley grew up spending her summers in Florida where her grandparents lived. She brought Adam with her during the summer of 2015 and took him to her favorite place, Sebastian Inlet State Park. They took another vacation there this past summer and Adam suggested that they take a picture together, so Ashley gave her camera to a lady who happened to be walking by. They took their posed photo and then when Ashley was walking back to get her camera, Adam sais "What if we take a picture like this?" Confused as to what he meant, she turned around to look and he was down on one knee and said "Ashley, will you marry me?" The first words out of her mouth were "OH MY GOSH!" She was totally surprised! She said yes to her favorite boy, in her favorite place, in her favorite outfit (bikini)!!

We started the session out on the docks and then went down to the sand where the lighting was soooo perfect! Ashley's white dress was stunning (Adam - you looked great too!) and they were so playful and cute as a couple. I could tell right away they were meant for each other and head over heels in love!

Hurricane Irma had caused the waves to be a little bigger than normal so watching them run into the water and get tossed around was pretty funny, but we were still able to nail their water shots!

I am so excited for these two to tie the knot and to follow their journey as Mr. and Mrs.!
